Pete - Director

Pete took over Jurang in 2019 and has had quite a journey navigating the business over the years, from growing our speciality coffee's to enduring the COVID pandemic. Pete has a background in marketing, charitable work, and financial advice, and once served as a barista in a Manchester café; all experience that Pete draws from to lead our happy coffee team.

Juan - Sales

With a background in environmental science and fueled by his passion for coffee, people, and the environment, Juan plays a pivotal role in ensuring customer happiness by delivering high-quality products with a focus on ethical responsibility. Juan's journey at Jurang is a blend of expertise and enthusiasm, contributing to our mission of brewing a better world.

Lucy - Accounts

Lucy joined the team in the spring of 2023 and brings with her experience in project management and data analysis. She is responsible for much of our accounting and data analysis, as well as some of our copy and communications. Her wealth of experience in the charity sector bolsters her passion for our vision, particularly for our direct trade relationships and charitable giving to farming communities.

Mark & Jean - Roasters

A chef for 25 years, Mark has a passion for bringing out the best flavours. Ten years ago, he stepped into pursuing his dream to roast coffee, and his expertise is evident in the speciality coffees we produce. Mark and his wife, Jean, have established a roastery that we partner with that is closely connected with the farms we source from. These relationships ensure top-quality coffee and more than fair trade prices for the farmers.

Martha - Design

Jurang contracts our fantastic design work to Martha; her business, Martha Illustrations, is one to check out. Martha is very much a part of our family (as she's also Juan's wife) and she has been instrumental in bringing our Happy Coffee Brand into reality. We love working with Martha as she's as kind, as she is creative. We have a lot to thank Martha for; so, next time you are enjoying one of our happy coffees, take a thankful sip to Martha.

What's more, we are committed to building a better world, with a portion of our proceeds going straight back to meet the needs of the local communities where we source our coffee.
